The old saying Practice Makes Perfect applies to most things in life.  To be proficient at something you need to practice that skill until it is second nature.  To that end I have recently become interested in the clay shooting sports.  So far I have been able to shoot at least once a week and have learned many of my shortcomings I need to overcome to improve my form and score.  Personally I look at it as an investment in my self and my hunting abilities.  The fact that I enjoy the sport and get to spend time around like minded individuals and friends is just another great side benefit.

In short get out and enjoy yourself while practicing new skills.  Practice makes perfect.
