SHTF Food Storage Tip – Storing Coconut Oil

Today we take a look at an easy way to store oil for when SHTF. One item that is often overlooked when prepping is storing bulk oil for cooking as well as other needs. Coconut oil is a healthy oil that can be stored easily and bought in bulk for prepping. There are two main types of coconut oil, virgin coconut oil that has a coconut flavor and expeller pressed coconut oil which does not taste like coconut. We always have both on hand. Typically we will use the expeller pressed oil for cooking and frying food. The virgin coconut oil we use sometimes in baking if a coconut flavor is needed, or can be used for skin care and other uses.
