Today we take a look at the Coast EAL20 Emergency Lantern. This is a great lantern to add to your preps, specifically your Blackout Kit. The EAL20 is an easy to use lantern that is a great comfort item to add for your kids. Something as easy as light during a power outage, the lantern can also be used while hiking or around camp. Our kids prefer to use a lantern due to the area lighting it provides, instead of a direct shallow beam such as a flashlight or headlamp. The EAL20 is a variable adjustable Lantern, which means you have multiple light settings, with a max of 375 Lumens. The lowest setting on the lantern provides 80 hours of runtime, and the lowest setting about all that was needed when around camp. The EAL20 also features a solid red light and flashing red light to signal if you need assistance, and the flashing red is easy to pickup from a distance.
